She tips her head to look up at me. Her lids are hooded and her breathing becomes labored.   F**k me. She likes role play. 

“Is that what you’re asking?” she says, her voice rough. Damn, she needs this. 

“Maybe it is.” I go with it. “Let’s have a look, shall we?”

I sit next to her at the table… waiting.  She angles her body toward me and slowly inches up her skirt. 

  

“I shouldn’t do this,” she says. 

  

“If you want a good grade, you should,” I tell her. “It’s okay. Nobody has to know.” 

Favorite Quotes

I love the honesty of Tristan’s confession here. The enemies-to-lovers trope is one of my all-time favorites in romance, and this quote is the epitome of that.  Raw emotions. Possessive desires. He owns it and welcomes it. Whoa, that is Tristan to a T.

This quote from Aria is so telling. She is terrified to confront her feelings, but is slowing learning to give in to some of them. The scenes that follow are insanely sexy.

 “That’s what you haven’t quite figured out yet, Ari.” He places a soft kiss in each palm. “You have all the control.” 

--This might be one of my favorite quotes in the book. There is so much power exchange in Aria and Tristan’s story. And through that give and take of control, they learn things about themselves that help them and grow and heal. Tris is trying to explain that placing your body (and heart) in the hands of someone else demonstrates more strength than the person who takes it. *Goosebumps*

   “I know you think I can’t understand because I don’t have a kid. But I get it, and I would do the same thing. You know, when I would take Caden to the park in the afternoon, I would pretend that he was mine. God, how pathetic is that?”

--Unless you have a heart of stone, you will be choked up during this scene. Tris falls in love with Aria’s son as much as Aria herself. Oh wow, I can’t even talk about this one without turning into a blubbering mess.
